The Asgard plates are made of stoneware. They are glazed with a special glazing technique known as reactive glaze. Due to the glazing technique applied to all plates produced, our handmade products may have color differences. Stoneware is a clay-based material used in the production of plates and dishes, fired at 1100-1300 degrees. It is more durable than ceramic and less porous, making it more resistant to water absorption compared to ceramic. Being fired at a higher temperature makes it safe for use in microwave, oven, and dishwasher, ensuring long-lasting use.
